I started out in a small design studio in Minneapolis which is where I got my first big break. 3M was our top client at the time. Then, as it happens, hard times hit and I was laid off. I ended up working for a commercial photography studio for a short bit as their studio manager and prop coordinator. Laughable, I even got to pick out a bowl of perfect Cherrios for a photo shoot and yes, got paid to do it. From there I went on to work for Redmond Products who make the Aussie shampoo. I worked in the marketing dept. which was such a great team to work with. But, I happily got married, left my great job and moved to Michigan. I remember sitting in the back yard and  thinking what have I done. As luck would have it, I landed an amazing graphic design position working for Whirlpool Financial. It was such a rich experience and looking back, it was by far my favorite job. Eventually we moved back home to Minnesota and I promptly got a job working for Dain Rauscher, downtown Minneapolis. 

 

After years of living in the big city, we decided to venture north and moved to Duluth. I felt like I had fallen off the face of the earth. Not once did I ever say "I want to own my own company", but here I am and I'm doing what I love and love what I do!
It seems as if life has come full circle.
